Mowgli, recently recognised as a Sunday Times ‘Best places to Work’ for a third consecutive year and awarded one of the 'Best Companies' to work for in the UK four years in a row, is looking for a Head of Commercial Finance to join the Mowgli Chambers team. 

You will oversee all elements of commercial analysis, insight, and reporting across the business to support decision-making, driving profitability and optimising financial performance. You will also business partner with Operations Director and other key, senior stakeholders to improve financial processes and strategies. 

This role is based in our Head Office based in Liverpool.

You will be responsible for

• Ownership of analytical tools and systems across the business, ensuring they are fit for purpose and address the needs of the business
• Responsible for detailed sales analytics including spend, sales mix, day part
• Challenge business on commercial performance and identification of improvement
• Ownership of forecasting models in the business (P&L and BS)
• Owning the internal reporting suite including daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
• Identification of relevant KPIs across the business and responsible for ensuring they are reflected in management information
• Liaison with operations team to ensure understating of financial data and other relevant KPIs

What we’re looking for

• Qualified accountant- ACA/CIMA (CIMA preferred at at least 2 years post qualified experience)
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience in a commercially focused finance role, experience in Hospitality or Retail industry beneficial
• A people person, skilled in relationship building
• Data-literate and analytical ability
• Detailed and solution-orientated
•  Agile and adaptive
• Commercially minded and able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
• Proactive and able to identify and highlight areas of opportunity or improvement and advise on actions required
