Shepherd Neame is on the lookout for a Pub Head Chef to run our join our team, so if you have previous kitchen experience and you are looking for a new and rewarding challenge in the kitchen; this may be just the job for you.


This role will see you running our small but busy Kitchen, taking full responsibility for the day to day kitchen operation and food service standards, with the support of one other part time Chef assistant. The pub only opens on week days, so working hours will be Monday to Friday lunch time shifts from approx.10am until 5pm, Thursday and Friday evenings from 5pm until 9pm, and one Monday evening a month for a private dinner.


Located in London's Moorgate, the Old Doctor Butler's Head is a traditional pub dating back more than 400 years. A short stroll from the Guildhall, it is a popular spot with City workers and its first floor function room is a constantly busy with events and meetings in the area.


We know that an excellent Head Chef is one of the most key ingredients to a successful kitchen, so this role will see you working alongside the General Manager to deliver key objectives, customer satisfaction and growth at your site. Supporting the creation of an inclusive culture within the business, you will lead and develop your team to deliver an efficient, high quality kitchen service to our customers.
