A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTELS

  • Managing and maintaining accurate purchase ledgers across all entities 
  • Processing supplier invoices and payment runs in line with company policies 
  • Reconciling monthly supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies 
  • Supporting interim and month-end payments, including coordinating with the 
  • Assistant Controller on funding needs 
  • Maintaining F&B stock records and ensuring POS pricing, menus, and recipes are up to date and accurate 
  • Working with restaurant managers and external stock-takers to support accurate monthly stock takes 
  • Producing daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports to support decision-making 
  • Investigating cost variances and supporting department heads with KPI analysis 
  • Providing training and support on procurement and POS systems to hotel and restaurant teams 
  • Supporting the wider finance team with admin and ad-hoc tasks


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls 
  • Experience managing purchase ledgers, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs 
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate processing of costs and stock records 
  • A proactive approach to analysing variances and supporting cost control across departments 
  • Confidence working with POS and procurement systems (e.g. Procure Wizard), and supporting others in their use 
  • The ability to produce clear, accurate daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports 
  • A collaborative mindset when working with operational teams, stock-takers, and department heads
