Description
Chef de Partie – The Old Coffee Tavern, Warwick

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at The Old Coffee Tavern in Warwick.

This isn’t about filling a position and ticking boxes. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in what they do, enjoys being part of a proper kitchen team, and wants to keep learning and getting better.

You’ll have your own section to run and take responsibility for keeping it organised, clean and running well through service. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping with prep, service and the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

You’ll also be working alongside two chefs with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, having worked their way through different kitchens, sections and levels of responsibility. Above them is an Executive Chef with a strong pedigree, so there’s plenty of knowledge around you and plenty of opportunity to learn from people who have genuinely been there and done it.

We’re not expecting you to know everything. We care more about having the right attitude, being reliable, communicating with the team and wanting to improve.

What you’ll be doing
  • Running your section and keeping it organised to a high standard.

  • Helping with prep and service across the kitchen.

  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef when needed.

  • Making sure the food leaving your section is consistent and well presented.

  • Keeping your area clean, tidy and safe throughout the shift.

  • Helping with deliveries and making sure stock is stored and looked after properly.

  • Following food safety, health & safety and allergen procedures.

  • Communicating properly with the rest of the team and helping create a good working environment.

Most importantly, we want people who care about the food, care about their work and care about the team around them.

What we can offer
  •  A genuine focus on having a decent work/life balance.

  • 50% off food and 20% off drinks across our venues.

  • Pension and team meals.

  • Good opportunities to progress within the company.

  • A kitchen where you can learn from experienced chefs and continue developing your skills.

  • A team that wants to do good food, have a good service and enjoy working together.

If you’re a Chef de Partie looking for your next move and want to work somewhere you can actually develop rather than just turn up and do the same thing every day, we’d love to hear from you.
