Of course, we can’t do that without awesome team-members so if you’re ready to join our fun journey, and become an expert in Danish pastries and bread, we have a one-way ticket available. POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Kitchen Team Member at Ole & Steen, you will join a dynamic, fun, and positive workplace bringing Danish pastries and coffee to NYC. You are responsible for the quality of the guest experience, whether providing a welcoming smile, perfecting the display and sale of our products, ensuring the cleanliness and ambience of our bakery, and making sure everyone has a happy environment to enjoy as a guest or colleague. Some primary responsibilities of the Kitchen Team include preparing sandwiches, salads, and parfaits, cleaning, receiving daily deliveries, and assisting with catering orders.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to work flexible hours that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions and SOPs
- Ability to work as a team and independently
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Requirement to follow food-safety protocols

ABOUT OLE & STEEN
Ole & Steen was founded in 1991 by the Danish bakers Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallebæk and originally called Lagkagehuset or “The Layer Cake House”. Ole & Steen is pioneer in the resurgence of artisanal and handcrafted baking practices in Denmark. In 2008 the two bakers joined forces and became the organization we know today.
We have been Denmark’s favorite bakery for more than 30 years, serving delicious Danish breads, pastries, cakes, single estate coffee and food. We opened our first bakery on Union Square in 2019 to huge acclaim and fantastic reviews and we’re continuing our exciting growth journey – we currently operate 5 stores throughout Manhattan!
