Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC in Corbin, Kentucky in 1938. He started with one store, 11 herbs and spices, and an idea. From there our incredible brand and product grew to what it is today.

 

KFC first came to the UK in 1965 with our first restaurant in Preston, Lancashire. Today we are a billion-pound business with over 950 restaurants run by our 28,000 restaurant team members. Our headquarters are based at the Restaurant Support Centre (RSC) in Woking, Surrey – a 24-minute train from Waterloo.  Of the c.960 restaurants in the UK, 910 of our restaurants are owned and operated by 34 franchise partners; the remaining 51 are company owned and run.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will help define the future of KFC through innovation. In this role, you will drive project management from ideation to restaurant roll-out, defining success metrics, owning franchisee relationships and aligning globally to strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for developing thought leadership around new processes, equipment and technology.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ownership of high impact projects with tangible and wide reaching outcomes
  • Transformational change management focused on higher accuracy and efficiency
  • Data driven analyses to define key parameters of success for long term strategy
  • Operational design and optimisation for Back of House kitchen layouts
  • Championing best practice thought leadership in cross functional forums

 

WHAT WE'D LOVE FROM YOU

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of strategy / project management experience
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise and lead complex cross-functional projects
  • Creative problem-solving skills driven by tangible delivery timelines
  • Strong commercial awareness with analytical confidence (Excel required, Programming Languages a plus)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholder management
  • Highly detail orientated
