The role:

We need an attentive, organised, proactive individual to go beyond guest expectations. You will help support the General Manager in leading our team of hospitality pro's.

You’ll embody the spirit of Another Place Hotel with your friendly welcome, considerate manner and seamless efficiency.

What your days could look like:

  • Working alongside the GM to oversee and be responsible for the successful day to day running of all operational areas of the hotel.
  • Reinforcing our key brand standard of relaxed professionalism by being operationally present in all areas of the business.
  • Being proactive and lead by example
  • Working closely with the General Manager to support and have input into the ongoing development of the business
  • Being responsible for guest feedback, ensuring that all issues raised are followed up with the team responsible, and that guests receive a personal response where required
  • Representing the General Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
  • Driving consistent 4-star service standards across all departments, ensuring guest satisfaction and brand alignment.
  • Providing inspirational leadership to Heads of Department (HODs), fostering a culture of open communication, accountability, and excellence.
  • Mentoring and developing team members to deliver warm, professional, and consistent service.
  • Handling high-level guest feedback, VIP arrivals, and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Monitoring and managing departmental performance, budgets, rotas, and cost control to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of senior team members.
  • Attending and contributing to operational and strategic meetings.

Job skills & requirements:

  • Previous deputy general manager experience in a similar business.
  • Previous experience of using property management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Exceptional level of customer service and focus.
  • Previous management role.
  • Previous F&B experience.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Current Enhanced DBS.
  • Personal Licence holder.
  • Good communicator.
  • Experience of hotel computer booking systems.
  • Good at prioritising tasks and time management.
  • Administrative skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
