About the Role
As the Quality Assurance Technician you will be focused on ensuring the highest quality products are being produced everyday for our customers. You are known for your attention to detail, and are a team player while being able to keep all specifications in check. This position is introductory and will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. No prior experience in Quality Assurance/Control is required, but highly desirable. This position will be active, create new ideas, and work together as a team to strive daily for success. No two days are the same as we continue to grow as a team, and a company. The ideal candidate will have immense attention to detail, works well under pressure, and is always willing to go above and beyond. You are open-minded and are proactive. You love collaborating on new ideas, and with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities and Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
● Quality Control Audits ○ Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with standards ○ Documentation of issues, defects, and out of compliance items with trends
● Process Improvement Initiatives Recommending improvements to quality assurance processes as experience in the production environment grows ○ Collaborating with cross-functional teams including but not limited to training, correcting, completing and assisting in production tasks
● Daily Inspection Reports ○ Detailed documentation of inspections and testing results through Quality Checks on the production line (Cream Cheese, Butter and Bagel Production) ○ Including, but not limited to: Weight Checks, Labeling Accuracy, Lot Code Traceability, Trending Defects, Data Logging per shift/day.
● Working alongside the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure all products reach retail, and consumers at the highest quality, and food safety standard possible.
Experience
● Recommended 1-2 Years experience in food manufacturing / retail establishments
● Food Safety, HACCP, Quality Assurance Experience is highly desirable, but not required ● Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply
