The Warehouse Manager is
responsible for all aspects of the warehouse operation. To ensure 100%
delivery performance and excellence in customer service through efficient
product picking for timely dispatch of vehicles and delivery of products to
Papa John's restaurants. Responsible for QCC Warehouse budget control. To ensure accurate, efficient, cost effective and audit
compliant supply of goods to our stores
Responsibilities of Warehouse Manager: - Lead and motivate the Warehouse Operations Team to deliver
required performance and standards.
- Take responsibility for warehouse staff,
scheduling, recruitment, training, development, succession planning and
performance management
- Liase directly with
staffing agencies to recruit and manage temporary staff as required.
- Lead continuous improvement of Health &
Safety practices for all site warehouse and manual handling activities, ensuring
both site and legal Health & Safety compliance and best practice.
- Become a key member of site the Health &
Safety team, and develop participation amongst other warehouse team members.
- Lead continuous improvement activity for
warehouse operations, striving to increase accuracy, efficiency and
accelerate site throughput. Develop
warehouse activity metrics and key performance indicators, and develop team
member led continuous improvement approach.
- Form collaborative alliances with all our Franchise
customers, and internal supplier departments
- Maintain daily efficient, accurate and timely receipt,
picking and dispatch of all products keeping accurate records of all relative
documentation (pick sheets, delivery and dispatch notes, inventory count
forms, non-conformance and hold logs, etc.).
- Support WMS implementation, become a super
user, take responsibility for system hardware, end user training and team
member user IDs and authorisations.
- Lead future warehouse systems development, and
support cross functional systems projects
- Manage warehouse food safety best practice, ensuring
compliance to, and improvement of, associated processes systems and
paperwork. Take lead role in QCC
internal food safety site audits, ensuring delivery of ‘Superior’ Papa John’s
audit standard.
- Order warehouse consumable products from
selected vendors as required
- Manage MHE fleet, ensuring safe operation, and
liase with fleet provider as required
- Act as liaison with Supply Planner to resolve
issues with incoming deliveries, quantity and quality discrepancies,
rejections of in-bound freight, etc.
- Perform regular inventory counts and develop
cycle counting process to ensure accurate stock level information is provided
at all times.
- Partner with external transportation team to
accomplish timely dispatch times and efficient delivery service.
- Adhere to all Papa John’s International and PJ Food
Service policies as stated in the company manuals and other communications.
- Build capacity growth strategies for the QCC
warehouse and outside storage requirements
- Control third party owned pallet packaging
flows (Chep and IBC’s etc), to ensure no financial liability or overstocking
