Compensation

  • Base Salary: $65,000-$80,000 (based on experience)
  • Quarterly Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses tied to café financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement
  • Opening Bonus: $5,000 one-time bonus paid out on first anniversary of successful café opening

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and hands-on General Manager (GM) to lead the founding team at Paris Baguette Bellingham MA.

This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a café from the ground up with one of the fastest growing bakery café brands in the United States.

The GM will be responsible for hiring and developing a high-performing team, executing a successful café opening, and driving strong operational performance and profitability.

High-performing GMs will have future leadership opportunities as we expand multiple Paris Baguette locations in the Greater Boston market.

This role requires a one month of fully paid culinary training at Paris Baguette’s training center in New Jersey alongside owners and the baking and cake decoration crew.

What We Are Looking For

  1. 3–5+ years of experience as a General Manager at top tier café bakery brands, QSR concepts, restaurants, or grocery foodservice operations with national presence
  2. Experience opening and successfully operating high-volume cafés or restaurants ($60k+ weekly sales preferred)
  3. Ability to hire, train and retain a high-performing team of 30-40+ employees
  4. Strong experience managing restaurant P&L, including labor scheduling and food cost control
  5. Experience with early morning bakery production and food preparation environments
  6. High standards for cleanliness, guest satisfaction and operational excellence
  7. Strong comfort with POS systems, dashboards and operational KPIs
  8. Ability to think and act like an owner, proactively solving problems and driving results

Pre-Opening Responsibilities:

  • Hire and build a best-in-class team of bakers, cakers and front-of-house staff
  • Prepare the team for one-month culinary training in New Jersey
  • Recruit and onboard 30-40+ employees ahead of opening
  • Build strong team culture and retention strategies prior to opening
Post-Opening Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of daily café operations including baking production, service, staffing and cleanliness
  • Hire, train and develop a high-performing operations team
  • Manage café P&L performance, including labor scheduling and food cost control
  • Drive additional revenue through catering, third-party delivery and local partnerships
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting to ownership
  • Maintain exceptional guest experience standards
  • Lead local marketing and community engagement initiatives
  • Build a positive, high-performance team culture
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety regulations
  • Become certified in the Paris Baguette food safety program within 30 days

This role requires flexibility including early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed to support café operations.
