Reports to: General Manager

Salary Range: $16-$19 per hour, commensurate with prior experience

With a projected 1,000 cafés in the United States by 2030, Paris Baguette is one of the fastest-growing neighborhood bakery cafés in the world.

Our mission is to deliver expertly crafted baked and brewed goods through a warm and welcoming bakery café experience that brings joy to every guest.

We are currently building the founding team for our new café opening in Bellingham, MA, and we are looking for talented cake decorators who want to grow with us.


The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator who enjoys working in a fast-paced bakery café environment and takes pride in creating beautiful desserts.

This role will be responsible for preparing and decorating cakes, pastries, and desserts while ensuring every product meets Paris Baguette’s high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.

Production begins early in the morning, so candidates must be comfortable starting shifts as early as 2:00–3:00 AM.

As part of building our founding team, all cake team members will participate in a fully paid 4-week in-person culinary training program at Paris Baguette’s corporate training center in New Jersey prior to the café opening.

Candidates who are open to learning additional areas such as baking, sandwich preparation, and retail operations will receive strong consideration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, decorate, and finish cakes, pastries, and desserts according to company standards
  • Follow established recipes, techniques, and production procedures
  • Prepare creams, fillings, icings, and sauces used in cakes and pastries
  • Maintain visually appealing and well-stocked cake displays for guests
  • Ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstations and equipment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Receive, stock, and store food supplies properly
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies are running low
  • Report equipment issues promptly to management
  • Assist in training new team members when needed
  • Support other bakery operations as required


Qualifications

  • Prior experience with cake decorating or pastry production preferred
  • Ability and willingness to attend 4-week paid training in New Jersey prior to opening
  • Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry production processes
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Culinary or pastry education is a plus
  • Food Handler’s Certificate preferred
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
