We are looking for skilled and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor with excellent customer service skills. Leading the team of Coffee Shop Assistants, you will be the person that sets the tone for the day, and ensures that your team are constantly delivering excellent customer service and hitting your sales targets. 

Situated in Parkway in the heart of Newbury town centre, Honesty @ Parkway is Honesty Group's first town-centre location. Serving fresh sandwiches, paninis, soups and pastries made in our wholesale unit and delivered daily. Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and afternoon cake. 7.30am - 4.30pm.

General Purpose

Ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service in a cheerful and efficient manner to all our customers.  Oversee the entire shop including the flow of customers/orders, staff activities and shop environment. To maximize the profit of Parkway Coffee Shop location without compromising the ethos and principles of the business as a whole.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Supervisory duties:

• Be responsible for shop stock / products and ordering replacement stock
  
• To work to meet sales targets and ensure that the team in the shops are equally as motivated.
• Liaising with Managers, Area Manager and other staff
  
• Preparing Rotas for staff (being mindful of target hours)
  
• Responsible for meeting sales targets alongside the Manager
  
• Attend Supervisors Meetings
  
• To manage and collaborate with the Marketing team to organize events
• Be responsible for the social media output of the coffee shop

• Take delivery of goods from the wholesale unit and display / put away.  Report any shortages
  
• Stock rotation and check dates on products
  
• To understand and manage the costs of the business so that the best decisions are made when managing rotas, purchasing and waste.
• Display products and price
  
• Amend menu board with specials / remove any out of stock items
  
• Do fridge checks and temperature checks on delivery
  
• Check coffee shop is clean and tidy and ready for service (sugar bowls, clean tables etc)

• Answering telephone enquiries and taking orders over the telephone
  
• Waiting on tables
  
• Preparing food and drinks (check temps in line with company Food Safety guidelines)
  
• Clearing tables and washing up
  
• Engaging with customers

• Ensuring entire shop is clean and tidy, items are replenished for the next day
  
• Sweep / mop floors
  
• Clean toilets, mop floor (in relevant shops)
  
• Tidy and clean outdoor areas
  
• Tidy stock room
  
• Check all equipment is cleaned and switched off
  
• Place orders with Head Office for stock items / products
  
• Log waste
  
• Cash up and place cash in safe place
  
• Lock up
