At the heart of the city on 15 Colmore Row, Pasture Birmingham is where fire, meat, and music come together in bold celebration. It’s more than just a steakhouse — it’s a lively, open kitchen experience where craft meets community, and every service feels like a special occasion.

As the latest addition to the Pasture family, Birmingham carries forward the legacy of our Cardiff and Bristol restaurants — with in-house butchery, grass-fed beef from trusted local farms, and a deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and flavour. Our open-fire cooking and vibrant soundtrack create a dining atmosphere that’s as dynamic as it is welcoming.

We’re building a team of people who are as passionate about hospitality as they are about great food and memorable experiences. Whether you're on the floor, behind the bar, or at the pass — if you’ve got the energy, drive, and personality to match our fire, we want to hear from you.

Be part of something exceptional. Be part of Pasture Birmingham.

We’re looking for someone with strong pastry experience in a busy, high-standard kitchen—someone who understands the balance between precision, creativity, and speed. You’ll be confident in your technical skills, highly organised, and thrive under pressure. You should be passionate about working with quality ingredients, excited by seasonal menus, and always looking to learn, collaborate, and improve.

We want someone who communicates clearly, supports their team, and brings positive energy to every shift. You’ll be a self-starter with a love for pastry and a drive to push yourself and those around you forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the pastry section during busy services, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and consistency

  • Creating and plating a range of desserts that are both refined and bold, using seasonal ingredients and modern techniques

  • Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to bring new ideas to life and contribute to menu development throughout the year

  • Working with exceptional local produce and suppliers to showcase the best ingredients available

  • Supporting the smooth running of service with sharp organisation, prep, and time management

  • Upholding excellent hygiene and food safety standards across your section

  • Training and supporting junior team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging professional growth

  • Contributing your personality and creativity to every dish and helping shape a unique guest experience

You

You’re a passionate, driven Pastry Chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and brings a genuine love for creating memorable desserts. You take pride in every dish that leaves your section, balancing precision with creativity. You're calm under pressure, meticulous with your craft, and excited by the opportunity to work with world-class ingredients and a team that values quality and innovation.

You understand that the pastry section isn’t just the end of the meal—it’s the final impression, and you make it unforgettable. You're excited to grow with us, to push boundaries, and to contribute ideas that shape future menus. Whether you're plating a delicate tart or crafting the perfect ice cream from scratch, you're all about flavour, finesse, and flair.
