Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all restaurant equipment, systems, and facilities are in excellent working condition. This includes conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:

Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and manage downtime effectively.

Facility Maintenance:
Ensure the restaurant’s physical environment is well-maintained, including repairing or replacing broken fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, and other structural components.
Perform light carpentry, painting, and general repairs to keep the facility in top condition.
Ensure all areas, including the kitchen, dining room, restrooms, and exterior, are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, health, and sanitation.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, including cleaning agents and chemicals, in accordance with safety guidelines.
Maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lighting, and ensure they are operational.
Inventory & Supply Management:
Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring that all necessary tools, parts, and materials are readily available.
Order replacement parts or equipment as necessary and ensure the restaurant maintains adequate stock levels to handle repairs.
Maintain a record of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements for future reference and compliance purposes.
Coordination & Communication:
Communicate regularly with restaurant management to understand the status of equipment and facilities and to prioritize maintenance tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in restaurant maintenance, facilities management, or a similar technical role is preferred. Knowledge of restaurant equipment, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigeration, HVAC systems, and plumbing is highly beneficial.
Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
