Company About Us:

Founded by former Michelin-starred chef Paul Rhodes in 2003, Paul Rhodes Bakery has built a strong reputation as the go-to supplier of quality handcrafted sourdoughs, cakes and pastries in the capital. Paul’s ambition when he started the bakery was simple: to provide London’s busy chefs with the best handcrafted bread, made from the finest ingredients possible and traditional techniques.

Our busy retail bakery is in the heart of vibrant Greenwich (near the Cutty Sark and Greenwich University). We have a very loyal and local customer base who share our passion about the quality of our products, the ingredients we use and the service we give our customers. We value creativity and care about what we do and our people who live our values each day.

By joining our company, you’ll have the chance to work with experienced professionals, learn valuable skills, and be part of a friendly, supportive environment.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our prep kitchen. We’re looking for someone to take the lead on the sandwich & savoury production, ensuring we consistently deliver a varied and exciting offering, using top quality ingredients. You should have a genuine passion for food and a drive to create flavours that truly delight. This role involves innovating with seasonal menu planning, collaborating with management on costings and profit margins, and maintaining impeccable standards across all savoury offerings. You’ll be responsible for training the team to maintain these standards, planning production and cleaning schedules, managing stock rotation, and ordering ingredients in line with projected volumes. Maintaining excellent hygiene and Health & Safety practices will be a key responsibility within your kitchen area.
