Description

The Barback or Food Runner is a highly active support role, essential for maintaining the efficiency and speed of the dining room and bar areas.

Key Responsibilities:

· Bar Support: Maintain constant supply levels for the Bartender, including replenishing ice, clean glassware, garnishes, and backup liquor/beer stock in a timely and organized manner.

· Beverage Logistics: Manage the beer inventory, which includes the changing of kegs efficiently and ensuring the pour-my-beer tap system remains operational.

· Food Running/Expediting: Serve as a critical link between the kitchen and guests by running food quickly and accurately to the correct tables, ensuring plate presentation is maintained.

· Busser Backup: Support the service team by clearing and resetting bar and patio tables, ensuring glassware and debris are removed promptly to maximize guest turnover.

· Cleaning & Sanitation: Assist the Bartender in maintaining the impeccable cleanliness and appearance of the open-air bar, including wiping surfaces, mopping up spills, and restocking service stations.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment is strongly preferred.

· Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail.

· Must be a proactive team player, dedicated to supporting both the bar and service staff.

· Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and kitchen/bar staff.

· Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and ability to lift 40 lbs. (e.g., full kegs).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
