The Role

The role of the Head of People & Development is to direct and manage the daily operations of the People & Development department and ensure all processes are compliant with company standard and UK legal requirements.  This role is instrumental in creating and implementing crucial People & Development policies and programmes that support the overall people function across the business. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the whole people lifecycle and will lead on implementation of the People agenda aligned with the hotel strategy.

Expectations

The Head of People & Development is expected to:

  • Always maintain a consistently professional demeanor.
  • Represent NoMad London positively in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health & Safety policies, HR guidelines and compliance trainings.
  • As a Head of Department, demonstration of flexibility, visibility and strong leadership are vital.
  • Effectively manage workload and responsibilities with efficiency.
  • Foster clear and effective communication within the team, across departments and between both hotels and management.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to guide and inspire the team.
  • Champion our company values and foster a positive and collaborative approach across all departments. 
 Requirements

  • Must have at experience in people management, ideally from a luxury hotel environment.
  • CIPD qualified, minimum CIPD Level 5
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
