The Head of HR is accountable for all HR activities within Petersham Nurseries Covent Garden, supporting and collaborating with the HR administrator in Richmond to ensure continuity and process compliance across the Petersham Nurseries Group. You will work to attract and retain excellent team members, from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement, appraisals and exit interviews using key metrics to monitor success and advice the senior team on improvements and innovation within your department. CIPD qualification is a requirement to apply for this role.
· Develop and implement an HR strategy that is aligned with the overall business strategy.
· Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
· Attend recruitment fayres and identify opportunities to enhance our visibility as an employer.
· Develop and maintain job descriptions and organisational charts. Help to write engaging content that drives reach across our online presence (social, web, e-newsletters)
· Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement employee development and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
· Create and implement performance management processes, including performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
· Work alongside our HR consultant to provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
· Manage employee records, benefits and HR data using Harri.
· Work alongside the senior team to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement.
· Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
· Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action.
· Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes and procedures to ensure they align with the company's vision and values.
