About us:
The Phene is a historic pub in the heart of residential Chelsea with a passion for seasonal British food, top-notch levels of service and a real attention to detail.
Split over four floors, The Phene boasts a leafy terrace garden, three private dining rooms, a restaurant and two relaxed bar spaces. We host over a dozen events and functions a week, keeping us buzzing and vibrant throughout the year. Last year alone we had the pleasure of hosting over 220 weddings.
Established in 1853, The Phene has recently become part of Young's, a fittingly historic partner, and we're looking forward to a new and very exciting chapter.

What we are looking for in our Senior Sous Chef:
We are looking for an existing
Head Chef or experienced Sous looking to take a next step, into a busy and highly regarded premium food venue, where the kitchen is at the heart of everything we do.
We average 13 events a week, around £20K in weekly food sales (and more than double that in December!) yet we take great pride in making everything fresh, in house, to a consistantly high standard.
We offer our guests an all day a la carte, a choice of two set menus for events, a canapé menu, and a Sunday menu of premium roasts, and we do all of this from a fairly compact kitchen.
This requires excellent leadership, brilliant organisation, and real commitment, so the role is the perfect proving ground for any chef wanting to take their final step before becoming a serious Head Chef.
