Role & Responsibilities:

General HR

  • Ensures legal compliance is adhered to by monitoring human resource legislation.

  • Assist the Group HR Manager in disciplinary and grievance processes, including conducting thorough investigations, hold relevant hearings and maintaining records.
  • Maintains historical human resource records within the company filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain HR records on the Fourth operating system.
  • Conduct personnel file audits to ensure company is compliant with all current HR legislation and data protection law.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Attend Monthly Operations meeting to highlight HR reporting.
  • Carry out salary benchmarking to establish a market rate from various organisations in order to track movement in those rates and apply changes to the company pay structure where necessary.

 Recruitment

  • Ensuring recruitment processes are followed in a in a timely manner to ensure acceptance and booking onto induction day can take place.
  • Ensure relevant documentation from the recruitment platform is present and complete prior to induction.
  • Carry out the induction of new starter into the business ensuring a warm welcome, that required information is provided and assigned induction training modules are complete.

Training

  • Highlight outstanding flow training modules and competencies with employees and HOD’s to ensure completion within a timely manner
  • Work with HOD’s to manage training requirements.
  • Assist the Group HR Manager in arranging reviews, appraisals and competency tests
  • Assist the Group HR Manager to ensure all staff have the correct online modules allocated to them including when team members are promoted or multiple employed.
  • Monitor spa training in line with steps to success, ensuring spa therapists are trained and or booked on relevant training to meet column needs.
  • Liaise with candidates and universities in order to successfully arrange and accommodate internships.
  • Enrol candidates into workplace apprenticeships, monitor training and course progress during the apprenticeship period to ensure successful completion and business benefits.
  • Liaise with external training providers to provide additional learning for our teams.

Engagement

  • Ensure you build and maintain good working relationships with peers and team.
  • Maintain a high level of engagement with the whole team that results in a positive HR presence.
  • Support managers in team relation and HR procedures
  • Deliver company rewards in a timely manner and ensure team engagement.
  • take the role of enterprise advisor working with cornerstone employers to engage with schools and colleges in the area. 
  • Participate in careers fairs to promote careers in hospitality and the company.
  • Any other duties as required.

Payroll

  • Maintain knowledge of up to date payroll legislation and practices. 
  • Run an internal monthly payroll for each company within the group
  • Resolve employee payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Process pensions 
  • Report payroll figures to the Group HR Manager 

This role is group role and will require travel to other sites.

Previous experience in HR and payroll is preferred.
