As you know, we’re growing fast — opening new restaurants across the UK (and beyond) — and we’re looking for a Pho kitchen superstar to step up into one of the most exciting roles in the business.

This is a huge opportunity for a strong Pho Head Chef or Senior Sous who knows what “great” looks like, lives the Pho food culture, and wants to play a bigger role in shaping our future.

As our Openings Head Chef, you’ll be the person who brings Pho kitchens to life — setting up systems, training teams, driving food quality, and making sure every dish that leaves the pass feels unmistakably Pho from day one.

What This Role Really Looks Like

This is not a “stay in one kitchen” Head Chef role.

As an Openings Head Chef, you’ll need to be fully flexible on location — travelling and based in different areas for weeks or months at a time, leading kitchen openings across the country (and potentially internationally).

You’ll be hands-on, fully involved, and right at the centre of the action — from empty kitchen to full service.

If you love the buzz of an opening, building strong teams quickly, and setting the standard from the start — this role is made for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the kitchen side of new restaurant openings — from pre-opening prep through to handover
  • Setting up kitchens for success: equipment, prep systems, storage and organisation
  • Supporting food orders, stock levels, prep plans and opening readiness
  • Training new kitchen teams on Pho recipes, prep, portioning and plating
  • Driving food quality, consistency and speed during soft launches and opening weeks
  • Embedding Pho’s kitchen culture of hard work and pride in what we do
  • Setting up strong controls: stock, ordering, waste, GP and production planning
  • Supporting and developing new Head Chefs to lead their kitchens confidently
  • Ensuring all kitchens are fully compliant with food safety, HACCP and allergen standards
  • Working closely with Operations, Training, suppliers and the wider openings team

  • Has high standards and won’t compromise on food quality or consistency
