Join the team at Pillar Hall, an exceptional restaurant & events venue located within the iconic Olympia in West London.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and passionate Head Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.

Located within the stunning Grade II listed Pillar Hall, our restaurant Idalia celebrates exceptional British produce, delivered with outstanding service and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be a natural hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences. You will play an important role in leading the floor team, maintaining high service standards and supporting the management team with the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant.

 Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example and deliver warm, professional and attentive service to all guests.
• Support the management team with the day-to-day running of the restaurant floor.
• Lead and coordinate the Front of House team during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest experience.
• Ensure the team has excellent knowledge of the food and drinks menus, including ingredients and allergens.
• Confidently make recommendations and guide guests through our food and beverage offering.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience.
• Support the training, development and motivation of junior Front of House team members.
• Work closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams to ensure effective communication throughout service.
• Assist with the delivery of private events and functions when required.
• Handle guest enquiries, feedback and requests professionally and effectively.
• Ensure all health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures are followed.

 Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Waiter/Waitress, Senior Waiter/Waitress or in a similar supervisory Front of House role within a quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the confidence to guide and support the team during service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, confident and professional personality.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards and procedures.
• Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with a positive, hands-on approach.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

 The Role

• £17.00 per hour.
• 40-hour contract.
• Monday to Sunday operation.
