Commis Waiter/Waitress – Join the Team at Pillar Hall

Join the team at Pillar Hall, an exceptional restaurant & events venue located within the iconic Olympia in West London.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Commis Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.

Located within the stunning Grade II listed Pillar Hall, our restaurant Idalia celebrates exceptional British produce, delivered with outstanding service and attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in hospitality. You will work alongside an experienced Front of House team, supporting the smooth running of service while learning and developing your skills in a professional and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Front of House team in delivering smooth and efficient service across breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
  • Assist with setting up, resetting and clearing tables throughout service.
  • Ensure the restaurant, tables and service stations are presented to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist Waiters/Waitresses and senior team members during service.
  • Support with the delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the restaurant and service areas.
  • Assist with private events and functions when required.
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures.
  • Deliver friendly, professional and attentive service at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A genuine interest in hospitality and willingness to learn.
  • Warm, friendly and professional personality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced team members.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy Front of House team.
  • Reliable, hardworking and eager to develop new skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

  • £15.21 per hour.
  • 40-hour contract.
  • Monday to Sunday operation.
  • Shifts will be scheduled on a rota basis according to business requirements.
