Join the team at Pillar Hall, an exceptional restaurant, bar & events venue located within the iconic Olympia in West London.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and personable Bartender to join our Front of House team.

Located within the stunning Grade II listed Pillar Hall, our restaurant Idalia celebrates exceptional British produce, delivered with outstanding service and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a warm and professional approach, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences, delivering knowledgeable, friendly and consistently high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks to a consistently high standard.
• Provide warm, professional and engaging service to all guests.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits and other beverages.
• Make recommendations and confidently guide guests through the drinks menu.
• Ensure drinks are prepared accurately, efficiently and presented to the highest standard.
• Set up and maintain the bar before, during and after service.
• Keep the bar clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for service at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the Bar Manager and wider management team.
• Follow all relevant licensing, health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Work closely with the restaurant, events and wider Front of House teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Support private events and functions across Pillar Hall as required.
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally and effectively.
• Maintain excellent product knowledge, including current menus, cocktails, wines and events.
• Deliver consistently high standards of hospitality, even during busy service periods.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Bartender, ideally within a busy restaurant, bar, hotel or events environment.
• Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits and general beverage service.
• Confident preparing classic cocktails and following house specifications.
• Warm, confident and outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to remain calm, efficient and organised during busy service periods.
• Experience working within fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a Front of House team.
• A genuine guest-focused approach and passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

• £16.50 per hour.
• 40-hour contract.
• Monday to Sunday operation.
