As the Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role within the Finance Team, ensuring accurate financial processes and reporting to support our restaurant operations. You will be the key point of contact for financial reconciliations, accounts payable support, and reporting, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to maintain smooth financial operations.

What you’ll be doing as an Finance Assistant?

Management Reporting

• Ownership of weekly sales postings and cash reconciliations
• Production of monthly bank reconciliations
• Working with the Property Accountant to ensure rent and rates schedules are up to date, maintaining direct debit schedules and overseeing quarterly payment runs
• Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc requests in additional areas of Finance
• Weekly cash variance reporting
• Liaising with Cash Safe provider to optimise process; helping sites if any problems arise

Accounts Payable Support

• Working with the Accounts Payable Controller to ensure supplier invoices are processed, and payments are made, on time and accurately, supporting with processing volume
• Assisting with supplier queries, ensuring suppliers are responded to on a timely basis
• Oversee and review supplier statement reconciliations throughout the month to ensure all invoices are obtained and recognised as they are incurred

• Degree in Accounting / Finance related field (must have)
• Good Excel skills (pivots and lookups)
