Join Our Restaurant Team at The Priory Hotel
A great opportunity has arisen to join our Restaurant team at The Priory, our beautiful, luxury boutique Country House Hotel and Restaurant in Wareham. We're looking for a friendly, attentive Food & Beverage Server who takes pride in delivering excellent service and is ready to be part of a small team with high standards.
About the Role: As a Food & Beverage Server, you'll be a key part of the guest experience – welcoming diners, taking food and drink orders, and serving with warmth and attention to detail across breakfast, lunch, dinner and private dining events. We're a small, close-knit team, so we're looking for a genuine team player with a can-do attitude who is happy to get stuck in wherever they're needed. Some wine knowledge would be ideal, but full training is provided.
Hours: This is a part-time role of 25 hours per week. You'll need to be available to work across lunch, evening and weekend shifts, as this is when the restaurant is busiest, and hours may increase during certain weeks – for example around events, weddings and busier seasonal periods.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Providing attentive, friendly table service throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner sittings
• Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently, with a good working knowledge of the menu
• Serving food and beverages to a high standard, including basic wine service (training provided)
• Ensuring a high level of guest experience at every touchpoint
• Supporting the wider team with setting up and resetting the restaurant and private dining spaces
• Building strong working relationships with the kitchen and other departments
What We Offer:
• Competitive rates of pay
• Free meals while on duty
• Discounts on hotel rooms, food and beverage, and other Pride of Britain properties
• Free parking, where required
• Access to Hospitality Action, a charity supporting hospitality professionals
• Company social events and a genuinely friendly team
• Excellent training, qualifications and career development
Pay: starting from national minimum wager, dependent on experience, plus tips & TRONC
Schedule: Lunch, evening and weekend shifts, with hours sometimes increasing on certain weeks
Experience: Restaurant or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential – full training is provided
Requirements: All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, and able to commute to Wareham BH20 4ND
Work Location: In person
If you're ready to bring warmth and professionalism to our dining room, we'd love to hear from you.
