Description
We are looking for an experienced Grill/Burger Chef to work at our fabulous sister establishment., YES Burger in Salcombe. Initial contract is 4 months with a view to something more permanent for the successful candidate.
You will be experienced in dealing with all aspects of the kitchen, hygiene, ordering and training kitchen staff and juniors.
Yes Burger is a dedicated Burger Bar in the heart of Salcombe and delivers a simple and already famous artisanal burger menu.
You will:
You will:
- Prepare and cook burgers following our recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly as needed
- Ensure the grill station is set up and fully stocked with all necessary ingredients and equipment
- Food rotating, quality control and maintain high levels of health and safety
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards and legislation are maintained
- Monitor food temperatures during cooking to ensure food safety
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food orders
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months experience working as a Grill Cook or similar role in a busy restaurant environment
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and food preparation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and legislation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
