General Manager Vacancy

The Princess Royal, Farnham

Featuring 27 beautiful bedrooms and situated in leafy Surrey, The Princess Royal is surrounded by plenty of things to do in the area including walking trails ideal for nature lovers, golf courses and historic sites such as Waverley Abbey. Every other year the Farnborough Air Show is held nearby which attracts huge crowds.

It has good corporate trade midweek, then on a weekend it is popular with locals, tourist trade and wedding ceremonies and parties, who may be celebrating at The Princess Royal or in nearby locations.

We are looking for a customer centric, serviced focused, hands-on General Manager who can get The Princess Royal back to being a destination for great food as well as their go-to choice for their event. With a varied community and demographic so we need someone who can ensure we provide a space for all to enjoy.

This is a live in role with a 2-bedroom cottage.

As our General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of the pub.

Ultimately, the smiles on faces, the return visits and the positive reviews are all down to you - making this one of the most rewarding jobs in the hospitality business.

For any General Manager, Fuller’s is a special company to work for. You’ll get lots of help and support from our Support Office when you need it, but also plenty of encouragement to put your own spin on the pub.

You can take plenty of pride in the role too, knowing that Fuller’s ales, food and service has a reputation as some of the very best in the business.

You’ll need to be commercially minded, making the right decisions to keep customers pouring through the doors. Importantly though, you’ll be a people-person too - mindful that to many, you’re still a good old-fashioned ‘Landlord’.

And of course, you’ll have a team to look after. So, we’re looking for somebody with true leadership qualities – able to keep both the customers and the team smiling.
