Description
Proper Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to join our corporate team and lead the financial strategy and operations of our growing portfolio. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial StrategyDevelop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives, including capital allocation, budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling

Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee financial planning and analysis activities, including revenue forecasting, expense management, profitability analysis and variance analysis

Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as ad hoc reporting for senior management and stakeholders

Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity and treasury functions to optimize working capital and support business operations

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk, through effective risk management strategies and controls

Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls, and oversee external audits and regulatory filings

Business Partnering: Collaborate with other departments and business units to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive performance improvement initiatives

Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and talent development

Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments

Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of finance operations

Qualifications    
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change and ambiguity
