OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The NoMad Hotel London is looking for a proactive and skilled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) Engineer focused on maintaining and optimizing the functionality of guest rooms and public areas. You will be responsible for performing routine checks, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks across all rooms and shared spaces to ensure the highest levels of guest comfort and operational efficiency.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the PPM Engineering are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:
· Carry out scheduled maintenance for all fixtures, fittings, electrical systems, and HVAC units in guest rooms and public areas.
· Inspect and service lighting, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance in all spaces.
· Regularly check and maintain door locks, safety equipment, and guest room amenities such as minibars, safes, and entertainment systems.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from housekeeping and front-of-house teams to address guest concerns related to room conditions, such as faulty lighting, plumbing issues, or climate control problems.
· Diagnose and resolve any issues in public areas like lobbies, corridors, lounges, and restaurants to ensure an inviting environment for guests.
· Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work completed, including parts used and service dates, and report findings to the Engineering Manager.
· Update work orders and ensure all maintenance activities are logged in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
· Ensure all maintenance activities in guest rooms and public areas comply with safety regulations, hotel policies, and local building codes.
· Be available and flexible to be able to cover shifts in emergency situations
· Assist in training new members of staff on the PPM procedure
· Assist the engineering team where short staffed on the floors
· Assist in the upkeep of decorative and structural elements, including paint touch-ups, minor repairs to furniture, and maintenance of flooring and wall finishes.
· Ensure all public areas and guest rooms maintain a high standard of appearance and cleanliness, contributing to the overall guest experience.
· Maintain a stock of essential maintenance tools and spare parts for guest room and public area systems.
· Collaborate with the housekeeping, front office, and other departments to address guest-related maintenance needs promptly and professionally.
· Ensure that maintenance activities are completed with minimal disruption to guests, prioritizing guest comfort at all times.
