The Role:

The Venue Manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the Floor & Reception Operations. As Venue Manager you will also be responsible for helping to train & upskill other managers, and be a senior point of escalation. You will be on hand to support the Floor & Host associates and deal with any issues that arise, also being pro-active in motivating & leading the team to achieve excellent sales performance and maximise the venue's revenue & profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will have a good knowledge and understanding of all food and drink menus and an in­ depth knowledge of those for your department to ensure the best service for the guest.
  • You will have a good knowledge of and understanding of the reception area and how the booking systems work.
  • Ensure overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests needs
  • Greet guests with a warm manner
  • Understand and follow food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Get along with others and be a team player
  • Successfully complete alcohol awareness training
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook.
  • To prepare the floor for service following the established checklists for your role and as directed; making sure that everything is complete before service starts and inform Senior Manager if anything needs attention.
  • Train new Associates to the company standards, including customer service and job duties
  • Understand and follow food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • To communicate with the Senior Manager regarding any problems or issues with equipment, stock or with guests.
  • To serve food and drink, consistently achieving the established agreed standards of service.
  • To observe the company's rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by their manager, supervisor or the senior manager.
  • To be aware of your responsibilities in respect of Health and Safety at work. To follow all procedures and report to management any hazardous situation or accident.
  • To attend training sessions and team meetings as required and to be involved and contribute to these.

Essentials:

  • Able to work on a rota basis which consists of opening and closes as per the business requirements.
  • Able to exceed our guests' expectations by delivering service in a professional and knowledgeable way.
  • Calm, patient and polite when receiving guest feedback.
  • Punctual, well presented, honest, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Able to build good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Good at working in a team.
  • Able to lead by example with new colleagues.
  • Confident in approaching guests.

Qualifications and Experience:

  •  Previous management experience in F&B is required with a minimum of 1 year.
