D&D London is looking for a talented F&B professional to take the position of General Manager for queensyard, in the new Hudson Yard development in NYC.

JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic General Manager, who can ensure delivery of exceptional service .

The right candidate must have full confidence in the running of the business and have full P&L accountability. You will also have a sharp understanding of business finance in order to maximize sales and exceed targets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating and leading lunch and dinner shifts, training of wait staff and keeping them up to date on all food and beverages changes.

Additionally, the general manager will assess the restaurant’s ever-changing needs and prepare therefore, including driving the success in terms of turnover and buzz through a combination of marketing skills and following of guests. He/she will responsible for maintaining budget, staffing, training, general restaurant/lounge, maintenance, marketing, social media, among other task.


Ideal candidates will:
• Appropriate experience working as a General Manager. Minimum 2 years in a fine dining/quality led restaurant.
• Positive attitude and firm work ethic with the mindset of a team player.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, midtown environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, great communication skills.
• Flexible availability on nights and weekends
• A polished and well-groomed appearance
• Well-spoken, friendly and outgoing
• Meet or exceed financial expectations.
• Manage PR and various marketing strategies to ensure market positioning
• Build a team that works in a professional cohesive fashion.
• Manage Managers and Staff to do the same.
• Establish community involvement/leadership through active involvement and board memberships.
• Work to improve the guest experience.
• Direct and hire appropriate staff within budgeted guidelines to meet or beat budget expectations
• Oversee the administration and HR functions

Scope of Responsibilities:
• Assure operational excellence and hospitality to 4 Stars standards
• Create best infrastructure and systems for success.
• Set and monitor goals and priorities for management team.
• Monitor and direct the organization according to agreed-upon timelines, workflows and roles: resolve issues as necessary.
• Assure that the team is staffed with the right people in the correct positions.
• Recruit, deploy and transition Key employees.
• Assure excellent financial performance
• Develop appropriate working budgets and Sales and Marketing Plans to provide acceptable returns.
• Meet or exceed budget goals.
• Manage inventories to allow for appropriate cash flow and asset management.
• Utilize mandated daily –weekly-monthly reports to measure performance and correct issues that negate ultimate profitability.
• Develop and implement systems to teach best practices within the complex.
• Ensure the efficient, cohesive coordination of all.
• Enrich open, respectful relationships with high ranking executives and employees
• Create and maintain an environment of collaboration and mutual respect with employees and the executive team.
• Know who all the trustees are and offer them gracious hospitality at all times.
• Perform any other tasks are required to fulfill the needs of the operation
