POSITION PURPOSE

This position should take pride in them on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests / associates.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

·         Serve as primary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware / software.

·         Maintain licenses for all software and ensure that all systems are covered by the proper maintenance contacts.

·         Maintain a sufficient inventory of computer related supplies.

·         Maintain a log of all computer hardware / software and a log of all services calls on computer hardware / software.

·         Manage the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system.

·         Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions.

·         Install and test corporate approved programme changes to the hotel computer systems.

·         Investigate and report software problems to the vendor, area corporate office.

·         Train selected hotel employees to take on major responsibilities of system managing in his absence.

·         Maintain technical and user documentation, system reports and newsletters.

·         Complete and distribute monthly activities report to your manager.

·         Maintain security and educate associates against IT pitfalls.

·         To be well organized and proactive in providing timely efficient and accurate IT support to hotel guests and administrative staff

·         To be Involved in day-to-day operations from root level to projects

·         To attend a daily briefing with the Operations team to recapitulate tasks and activity.

·         To attend trainings as and when required.

·         To be an ambassador of the hotel, in and outside the work place.

·         To maintain an atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship among the team.

·         Report suspicious characters or suspect packages.

·         To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.

·         To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.

·         To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.

·         To maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.

·         To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned.

  PROFILE REQUIRED

 

Education

·         Degree or Diploma in Information technology. Network skills having CCNA certified will be a added advantage.

Experience      

·         At least 3 years of experience within the hospitality industry as Assistant IT Manager

 

Key Competencies

·         To have Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office full suites

·         To have Excellent working knowledge in networking skills

·         To have working knowledge in EMMA PMS application

·         To have Excellent working knowledge in Aruba Wireless controllers, Ving card Assabloy, keycard system, Hoist IPTV Systems, Avaya PABX Systems

·         Communication skills

·         Organisational skills

·         Information system knowledge

·         Guest focus

·         Problem solving skills

 

Other skills (Language, Computers)

·         Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

·         Good to be able to troubleshoot issues and deliver support to admin staffs.
