Key Responsibilities of the Security Supervisor:

  ·         Supervise and provide guidance to the hotel security team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

·         Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

·         Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and excellent customer service.

·         Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

·         Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address any security vulnerabilities.

·         Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.

·         Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.

·         Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other emergency services when required.

·         Conduct regular risk assessments of the hotel property, identifying potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

·         Develop and implement preventive measures, such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, and emergency response plans.

·         Coordinate with other hotel departments to address security concerns and implement effective solutions.

·         Conduct investigations into security incidents, accidents, and guest complaints, maintaining detailed records and preparing incident reports.

·         Collaborate with internal departments and external authorities during investigations and legal proceedings.

·         Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and investigations.

·         Develop and deliver comprehensive security training programs for hotel staff, ensuring they are aware of security protocols and emergency procedures.

·         Organize regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of security measures and enhance staff preparedness.

·         Promote a security-conscious culture among employees and educate them on their roles in maintaining a safe environment.


Key Competencies

·         Security Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of security protocols, procedures, and best practices. This includes knowledge of access control systems, surveillance technologies, emergency response plans, risk assessment methodologies, and local laws and regulations pertaining to security.

·         Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for a Security Supervisor. They must effectively convey information to the security team, hotel staff, guests, and external authorities. Clear and concise communication during emergencies, investigations, and daily operations is essential.

·         Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is necessary to identify potential security risks, recognize suspicious behavior, and maintain accurate records and reports. Being meticulous in following procedures and protocols ensures the highest level of security and compliance.

Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other hotel departments, external authorities, and law enforcement agencies is necessary for effective security operations. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships and communicate efficiently across teams is crucial for the successful implementation of security measures.

Requirements of the Security Supervisor:

 ·         High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security management or a related field are a plus.

·         Arabic Speaker and locally available candidate preferred.

·         Proven experience in a supervisory role within the security industry, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.

·         Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

·         Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

·         Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.

·         Sound judgment and the ability to assess risks and make effective security-related decisions.

·         Familiarity with security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarms.

·         Physical fitness and the ability to perform regular patrols and respond swiftly to emergencies.

·         Proficiency in computer applications and report writing.
