The Asst. Front Office Manager Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced hotel Front Office
professional to join our dynamic team here at Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel, Reykjavík. Together with the team, and leading from the lobby, you will play a
crucial role in the success of
our product and shaping the experience
for our guests.
As the Asst. Front Office Manager, you
will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team of
professionals, ensuring exceptional service, whilst overseeing the day-to-day
operations of the reception. If you are hungry for responsibility and ready to

hours will be varied, including evenings and weekends. Your tasks will include:
- Assist in the smooth running of the
front office department, where all aspects of the guest journey and experience
are delivered to the highest level, ensuring both property and company
standards are attained and adhered to
- Responsible for shift planning and to
make sure all shifts are covered
- Collaborate with other departments,
build and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and
partners both internal and external ensuring all communications/activities are
controlled and undertaken in a timely manner
- Contribute to a good working environment and promoting our
corporate culture and values
- In
collaboration with the Rooms Division manager lead and manage the Front Office Team, fostering a culture of growth,
development and performance within the department
- Support and deliver on the strategies
and objectives of the front office department, taking ownership for assigned
areas of responsibility
- Be in charge of
the welcoming and onboarding process of new team-members, hereunder the
creation of individual training plans
Qualities We Are Looking For In our Asst. Front Office Manager:
- Proven hospitality experience in a front office position
- Ability to adapt to changing service
environments
- Good leadership skills with a hands-on
approach and lead-by-example work style
- Commitment to exceptional guest service
with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions,
offering advice and recommendations
- Personal integrity, with the ability to
work in an environment that demands excellence
- Strong communication and listening
skills
- Fluency in
English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively across
functions and cultures
- Skilled with Microsoft Office software
- An open, positive and communicative
personality
- Ability to handle multiple challenging
priorities and assignments
