Key Responsibilities of the Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator:
Oversees the day to day M&E Operations ensuring the
M&E Operations Team is inline and up to date with daily functions.
Plans for, and carries out work in accordance with the Meetings & Events Promises
Takes enquiries for Meeting & Events and communicates them to the Meetings & Events Team and Operations.
Ensures the team adheres to Pre and post communication for all events. Working in conjunction with the meetings & events operational team the job incumbent should include contacting
Clients before they arrive at the hotel to conduct final detail checks, to be a host on the day of the event, reviewing satisfaction levels and willingness to return and follow up calls.
Actively seeks to interact with existing, potential and new clients by show arounds/ site inspections
Solicits and follows up on business referrals and potential sales
Works actively to minimize complaints from guests
Sets up and maintains filing, trace, and communication systems, and follow-up procedures in line with guidelines provided by management
Maximizes guest satisfaction by communicating customer specifications to meetings & events team, and kitchen via function sheets
Reviews and documents guest specifications and suggests alternatives as appropriate
Ensures readiness and compliance in case of last minute changes to reservations
Achieves profit goals by ensuring that negotiated meetings & events rates are in line with hotel profit objectives and booking status is kept up to date
