Cluster Director of Finance

We are seeking applications for a Cluster Director of Finance (DOF) to lead the charge in our hotels’ financial strategy.

The Cluster DOF will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Media City & Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City and ensuring effective communication between our regional finance team, corporate finance team, hotel management and hotel owners.

As a senior executive the Cluster DOF will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the hotel's objectives in compliance with the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).

This position involves overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate reporting, and fostering strong relationships with hotel owners and operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and compliant with USALI standards. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with department heads to set realistic financial targets. Regularly review financial performance against these budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Owner Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between hotel ownership and management, ensuring transparent and effective communication. Prepare and present financial reports to owners, addressing their concerns and providing strategic financial advice.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with USALI, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and implement corrective actions as needed. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash management processes, including monitoring cash balances, managing working capital, and ensuring liquidity to meet operational needs. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce financial risks.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Provide strategic financial advice to the hotel's executive team, supporting decision-making processes related to investments, cost management, and profitability enhancement. Evaluate financial performance and recommend strategies to improve financial outcomes.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop the finance department, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years in financial management within the hospitality industry, with at least 2-3 years in the role of an Assistant Financial Controller/Director or Financial Controller/Director.
  • Skills: Proficiency in financial software; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; in-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations; ability to lead and motivate a team.
