Assist hotels guests on various internet/IT related issues
with high Yes I Can attitude.
- Responds courteously and efficiently to
queries and problems from system users
- Monitors and maintains proper inventory of
system supplies
- Installation and configuration of new systems
- Assisting guest with A/V requirement if
engineering is not available
- Ensures cleanliness of all data equipment and
computer rooms
- Maintains a system error/progress logbook and
deals with reported problems
- Assist IT Manager to maintains sufficient
safety copies of systems software, application and data to be stored on
site or off site in fireproof safe
- Assist IT Manager to ensures
that Internet is always working in the Hotel and coordinates with our ISP
for any problem
- Assist IT Manager to keep current all systems documentation,
training manuals, and operational procedures
- Liaise with support vendors in case of any
system issues as per AMC

Assist and replace the IT Manager in his absence. (To be
familiar with IT set up of the Hotel).
- Assists
the Controller’s Department in areas which he needs assistance.
- Any
other duties, which may be assigned from time to time
SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Maintains security and checks proper backup of
all data files and systems at all times
- Recommends users of preventive maintenance and
back up files
- Maintains comprehensive service log
- Liases with Security in investigation of
thefts, and irregularities
- Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency,
and bomb threat procedures
- Ensures that emergency procedures are enforced
to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
- Works in a safe manner that does not harm or
injure self or others
- Supports a safe hotel by applying hotel
regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations
- Anticipates possible and probable hazards and
conditions and takes action to prevent them from happening
- Maintains the highest standards of personal
hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct
MISCELLANEOUS
- Attends meetings and training required by the
Controller and Human Resources dept.
- Assists colleagues to perform similar or
related jobs when necessary
- Is always able to be reached by mobile
telephone, for help and technical support
- Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for
uninterrupted service to hotel guests and stakeholders
- Maintains equipment, and materials clean, tidy
and in good shape; reports defective materials and equipment to
appropriate person within the hotel
- Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the
department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function
- Is well updated on:
- Hotel
facilities and special promotions
- Marketing
promotions
- Laws
relating to own field of responsibility
- Stays
abreast of current and new industry technology relating to function
- Performs
required duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to
achieve the overall objective of the position
