Key Responsibilities of the Spa & Recreation Receptionist:


-TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

PROVIDING PROMPT, EFFICIENT AND COURTEOUS SERVICE IN VIKING CLUB

·         Reports directly to and communicates with the Administrative Assistant or his/her instruction and input on all pertinent matters affecting              the daily operation.

·         Greet guest accordingly to standards stipulated under current Policy & Procedure, ensuring a warm friendly welcome to members and                    guests.

·         Explain clearly the information about Viking Club’s facilities and other information such as membership details and etc.

·         Handle members and guests complaints courteously and if unable to resolve refer to Supervisor / Manager immediately.

·         Completing daily opening procedures and checking lists per relevant area.

·         In charge of billing procedure (daily entry fees, classes and lockers).

·         Responsible in doing daily end report and reconciliation.

·         Follow up store requisitions and purchase request, requested by the Admin Assistant.

·         Handles Telephone and courtesy manners as per company policy.

 

SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY

·         Is fully conversant with the hotel’s credit policy

·         Informs Executive Housekeeper regarding lost and found objects

·         Liaises with Security in investigation of thefts, accidents, and irregularities

·         Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported and removed immediately

·         Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures

·         Ensures that emergency procedures are enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees

·         Supports a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations

·         Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and takes action to prevent them from happening.

MISCELLANEOUS

·         Responsible Business: show involvement and be interested in environmental and/or social issues by participating in Responsible                          Business hotel and departmental activities

·         Attends meetings and training required by the Director of Recreation

·         Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests

·         Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the Viking Club efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function

·         Is well updated on:
        - Hotel fire, bomb and emergency procedures
        - Hotel health and safety policies and procedures
        - Hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e. hospitals,
          stations, tourist sights)
       - Short and long term hotel as well as corporate marketing and promotional
         programs
       - Corporate clients and clients generating high business volume
       - Union agreements

 

CONSTRAINTS:         

·       Is not allowed to sign purchase requests.

·       Is not allowed to approve discounts or complimentary checks.

·       Is not allowed to sign doctor permissions.

·       Is not allowed to approve sick leave or days off for Employees.

·       Is not allowed to bring out any hotel equipment or manuals.
