Key Responsibilities of the HVAC Technician:

• Supports the smooth running of the Engineering department, ensuring all HVAC systems are maintained to the highest standards

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and heating systems

• Diagnoses faults and carries out timely repairs to minimize downtime

• Responds promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests, ensuring comfort and satisfaction

• Ensures all work is carried out safely and in compliance with statutory regulations and company standards

• Monitors energy efficiency and supports sustainability initiatives within the hotel

• Maintains proper documentation of maintenance activities for audits and compliance purposes

• Collaborates with team members to control costs, manage inventory, and achieve departmental targets

• Builds effective working relationships while promoting company culture and values

Requirements of the HVAC Technician:

• Relevant technical qualification/certification in HVAC or Refrigeration

• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance (hotel or commercial experience preferred)

• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and heating systems

• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style

• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry

• Ability to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions

• Experience working with maintenance reporting systems and basic IT platforms

• Strong communication skills

• Personal integrity with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
