Key Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Associate

  • Supports the smooth running of the Housekeeping department, ensuring all guest areas and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

  • Works as part of a team to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, responding positively and promptly to guest requests

  • Takes ownership of assigned duties and tasks, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and professionally

  • Delivers on departmental plans and objectives, supporting hotel initiatives and service targets

  • Collaborates with the immediate supervisor to control costs, manage linen and inventory, and achieve productivity standards

  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values

  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, following best practices and documentation requirements for audits

Requirements of the Housekeeping Associate

  • Prior experience in housekeeping is an advantage but not essential

  • Hands-on approach with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and hospitality excellence

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently when required

  • High personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment that values quality and attention to detail

  • Basic knowledge of IT systems or housekeeping applications is an advantage

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
