Key Responsibilities of the Meeting & Events Office Supervisor:
-Takes all Group requests from relevant segments for 9 rooms and over, send pricing – proposals, maintains an effective chase system for new enquiries, existing bookings and post event calls and when appropriate will send contracts to confirm bookings, where appropriate this may include BGR/ M&E bookings. Adhering to all current relevant systems and processes as per company standard

-Assists in the smooth running of the M&E department, where all aspects of the client and guest experience are delivered to the highest levels, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to.

-Lead and collaborate with the team to maximize client and guest satisfaction, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.

-Support and deliver on the business strategies taking ownership for assigned areas of responsibility and deputizing for the -Head of Department in their absence.

With the Head of Department take a leadership role in fostering a culture of growth, development and performance whilst promoting the company culture and values.

-Collaborates with the Head of Department to prepare the departmental budget, ensuring that sales targets are realized, that costs and departmental inventory is controlled, that target productivity and performance levels are attained.

-Build and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications and activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner.

-Ensure that company policy, objectives and standard meetings & events practices are adhered to, providing recommendations that will drive sales performance and provide added value.

-Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

Requirements of the Meeting & Events Office Supervisor:
-Proven experience in meeting and events
-Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
-Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
-Ability to find creative solutions, offering recommendations
-Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
-Strong communication and listening skills
-Outstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspective
-Excellent ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures in a global environment
-Skilled with Microsoft Office software
-Experience of using IT Systems on various platforms
-An open and positive personality
-Ability to handle challenging priorities and assignments
