Role                 :           Director of Revenue
Reporting to  :           VP Operations and GM
Location         :           Noida

Job Responsibilities:

·         Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies which are aligned with Company’s overall mission, vision values and strategies

·         Participates in the development of the Company’s business strategies Develops and implements marketing and sales strategies that support achievement of the Company’s goals

·         Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate

·         Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Team

 Achieves market share and revenue goals by directing the group and transient sales and marketing strategies

·         Understand market dynamics and monitor competitor pricing to grow revenue and RevPAR for assigned portfolio.

·         Deliver effective pricing and ensure optimal inventory for all revenue streams and market segments.

·         Generate revenue forecasts and budgets for all hotels within area of responsibility.

·         Understand, investigate and extract data from any relevant system needed for problem solving and analysis.

·         Embrace and ensure optimization of new systems and tools to maximize revenue Work closely with the Area/Corporate Support Office and the hotel operational teams to ensure aligned direction

·         Supports the smooth running of the revenue management department of the hotels, where all aspects of the concerned hotel’s reservations and meeting & events enquiries are managed and handled

·         Develops and implements strategies where key revenue management metrics are identified, communicated and delivered

·         Effectively manages the life cycle of the team within the department, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance

·         Responsible for the revenue budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained

·         Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders

·         Reviews and scrutinizes the business performance, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance

·         Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

·         Proven experience in revenue management with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

·         Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style

·         Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry

·         Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations

·         Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy

Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement

·         Recruits and selects qualified candidates

·         Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities

·         Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback

·         Provides employees with coaching and counselling as needed to achieve performance objectives

In conjunction with the Finance Manager:

Prepare the operating budget for Sales

  • Recommends any items to be included in the capital budget and ensure adherence with the approved budget
  • Monitors actual versus budgeted expenses and takes corrective action where required
  • Monitor market and competitor activity and carry out ongoing research to establish sales opportunities
  • Recommend and implement promotions as appropriate and in accordance with business plan
  • Implement weekly and monthly sales and “revenue  maximization” meetings
  • Timely submission of the month end report
  • At all times ensure brand integrity in all communication.
  • Keep immediate Manager fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Maintains a high standard of personal grooming at all times in order to represent the Hotels in the best possible manner, reflecting the public role of the position
  • Be familiar with objectives, strategies, action plans and other marketing related information contained within the Hotels annual business plan
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
  • At all times projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public
  • Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager
