Key Responsibilities of the Regional Business Controller:
- Support ADFC on controlling and reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities of all operating units (hotels only), ensuring the production of complete, accurate and timely information, not being limited to solely financial information.
- Prepare monthly summary of operating unit results, assisting and distributing the consolidated Area result to ADFC and assisting him in the interpretation and development of appropriate on-going actions and business responses.
- Prepare and analyse ROCE calculations for further review and approval of ADFC, DD/RD and SAVP.
- Secure audit, insurance and IMA compliance of all operating units. This specifically includes monitoring Radisson’s equity participation in hotel operating companies and loans to counterparts of IMA’s.
- Prepare and update monthly CAP Utilization (Actual & Forecast) and Intercompany Transactions (Forecast only) for assigned hotels.
- Performs monthly sanity and
completeness checks of Forecast and Actuals (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet
and Intercompany Transactions) as per set Area and Corporate deadlines.
- Prepare consolidated Audit Results of Area and supports ADFC on follow-up activities.
- Control and approve invoices (SIMS) for assigned hotels.
- Visit hotels upon request for local support and follow-up on audit, IMA compliance and other assigned tasks or projects.
- Support Area Business Development Team analysing new projections.
- Provide pre-opening and opening support to Hotel Management teams in regard to Finance & Control.
- PMI Champion point of contact for Corporate and Area Support Office. Monitors, analyses and steers productivity performance of hotels and provides support to Regional Directors and Hotels where required.
Requirements of the Regional Business Controller:
- Proven experience in accounting with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
- Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
- Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical problem solver anticipating potential
implications and issues
- Organized and systematic, pay attention to details
- Controlling skills and knowledge of controlling, accounting and reporting tools and systems
- Respectful of organizational and local legal processes, procedures and rules
- Project management skills
- New opening or task force experience to support the successful opening of Hotels within Area
