Provides prompt quality service to customers by preparing beverages and serving guests in accordance with Brand standards
Provides service by suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverage, recommending promotional items and up selling to premium products as appropriate
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures
Maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions
Prepares drinks in accordance with the guest’s order
Stocks and orders all supplies and glassware; displays beverages in an attractive fashion
Assures high quality of service and product and maximises the profitability of the operation by assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in managing the bar in accordance with Brand’s standards
Co-ordinates schedule and staffing for assigned shifts
Supervises bar staff during assigned shifts
Assists in the control of customer bills
Approves requisitions for required supplies in Manager’s absence
Promotes good public relations through the proper handling of customer complaints
Ensures that product served is in accordance with Brand’s standards by inspecting food presentation and ensuring that staff utilize proper serving techniques
Ensures that the customer receives quality service by providing work direction for Bar staff
Supervises servers, verifying that their workstations are stocked, neat and orderly
Ensures that the area is ready for customers by checking overall condition of bar on a regular basis
Ensures that the restaurant is in neat and orderly condition at all times
Provides accurate reports of operations for management as requested
Adheres to legal and/or Brand policies and standards
Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service
Handles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with Brand policies
Keeps Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment.
