At Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split we believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. We are looking for a GYM & Fitness Manager to help our guests and clients achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall health.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a fitness center or gym, as well as experience developing and leading fitness classes. He or she will have a strong knowledge of fitness and nutrition.
GYM & Fitness Manager will develop concepts, implement fitness programs, and manage the fitness center's budget.
GYM & Fitness Manager reports to the SPA Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or related field
· 5+ years experience as a trainer or fitness coach
· Proven success in developing and implementing training programs
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
· Specialty certification in strength and conditioning, nutrition, or similar
· Experience working with athletes of all levels
Duties & Responsibilities
· Conduct self in a professional manner at all times. Adhere to the established standard of conduct, house rules, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.
· Dress in issued uniform and ensure a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times, adhering to the established Grooming Standards Policy.
· Report to shift on time. Aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notify the Supervisor or Duty Manager in adequate time and according to policy.
· Be fully familiar with Hotel Procedures
· Create concepts and implement fitness programs that meet the needs of a wide range of guests and clients, including those with special health concerns
· Schedule and lead group fitness classes, personal training sessions, and other exercise programs
· Promote healthy lifestyles and positive body image through lectures, workshops, and one-on-one counseling
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends and developments to ensure that programs are current and effective
· Select and purchase appropriate equipment and supplies for the facility
· Develop and monitor the budget for the spa & recreation program
· Keep accurate records of client progress and maintain confidentiality of client information
· Evaluate client satisfaction and make changes to programs as necessary
· Prepare reports on program effectiveness and submit them to upper management
· Collaborate with other departments in the organization to promote wellness initiatives
· Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and record-keeping
· Take an active role in driving forward the business of The Spa and accept responsibility for all services offered
· Be aware of all other spa treatments and products on offer and any current promotions.
· Achieve sales, guest service targets, mystery shopper targets, commitment report targets, and health and safety targets as set by the Spa Manager.
· Assist and organize training as the Spa Manager sets out. Also to attend new hotel training or update training as required.
· Ensure that client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
· Be flexible regarding hours worked and be prepared to adjust these to meet business demands.
