RHG is committed to reach Net Zero by 2050 or earlier on all operating hotel properties in alignment with the Science-based Targets initiative (SBTi). To reach the approved SBTi targets, our Global Sustainability is looking for the right individual to support the implementation of our decarbonization strategy, and growth of the recently launched Verified Net Zero (VNZ) Hotel program as Manager Net Zero.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Manager Net Zero, you will:

  • Support hotels in their implementation of the VNZ program by performing in-depth data collection and analysis of carbon emissions; and assisting with all program elements including staff training and third-party verification
  • Manage the associated project and steering processes to coordinate cross-departmental action
  • Support hotels in their decarbonization journey by assessing feasibility of energy optimizations, renewable energy projects or eligibility to be part of the Verified Net Zero program
  • Work closely with the Technical Services department to assess energy optimization, green building certification and VNZ opportunities
  • Collect portfolio-wide data for Best Practices in renewable energy and green building certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, EDGE or national equivalents
  • Support with other Responsible Business projects upon request

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a related field, experience in hospitality (operations) a plus)
  • Proven record of building technical knowledge for HVAC systems and onsite renewable energy systems. BREEAM/LEED/EDGE expert certification preferred
  • Familiar with energy systems optimization and energy audit reports
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
  • Confident and eloquent in public speaking and presentations
  • Comfortable to report to executive leadership
  • Goal-oriented problem solver with the ability to simplify complex info into clear messages
  • You are a motivator with a can-do attitude. You love working in a fast-paced environment and take ownership to deliver results in an international team
