We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Specialist, Group Accounting to join our finance team.

The Specialist, Group Accounting will report to the Director of Group Accounting, ensuring effective communication and alignment with group-wide financial objectives.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience in audit (Big4), who possess expertise in financial consolidation processes. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting group reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

·       Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

·       Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, focusing on consolidation entries and intercompany eliminations.

·       Contribute to the assessment of asset values in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

·       Apply knowledge of IFRS 16 to ensure correct accounting for leases within the consolidated accounts.

·       Maintain up-to-date documentation of consolidation procedures and controls.

·       Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and support during audit cycles.

·       Ensure compliance with accounting principles and group policies throughout the consolidation process.

·       Identify opportunities to improve consolidation processes and support implementation of best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

·       3-4 years’ experience in audit (Big4), with exposure to consolidation engagements.

·       Good understanding of IFRS accounting principles (IFRS16, IAS36…)

·       Experience in performing impairment tests and understanding asset valuation methodologies.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

·       Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with consolidation software is advantageous.
