Description

Role purpose:

Main purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure Radisson’s SAP environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient and vendor-agnostic, focusing on performance and availability.  A key component of this role is to review and improve changes which are to be implemented in the production environment, with a particular focus on ensuring that custom ABAP code is as optimal as possible and will either not negatively impact production performance and availability, but ideally significantly improve it.

The SAP Basis Specialist will work side by side with the SAP Operations Manager, the Sr. Director of Information Technology, and the Sr. Director for SAP and Service Management, focusing on continuous improvement of the whole SAP landscape, including non-SAP applications if applicable.

Roles/Responsibilities:

-        Ensure top-notch performance for all SAP systems in the landscape by proactively identifying areas of improvement.

-        Expanding current SAP solutions for scale, resiliency and maintainability by leveraging cloud functionality.

-        Architecting new SAP Cloud solutions and integrating them with already existing on-premise and cloud systems.

-        Working on the cutting edge of a wide range of innovate use case, in collaboration with RHG Product management department.

-        Setting up and configuring SAP based on best practices.

-        Automating SAP deployment, configuration and operations.

-        To support our partners to develop SAP migration frameworks.

-        Work closely with engineering teams and program management to execute RHG 5YP strategy planning in accordance to SAP migrations and Cloud improvement matters.

-        Ensure the project is delivered as per the terms in the contract: quality, schedule and cost.

-        Proactive Monitor and Control: Ensure system performance is not hindered by incorrect resource assignment or utilization. Identify trends in day-to-day operation and actively work on solving issues before they become problems.

-        General: Ensure a high degree of collaboration and good team spirit is achieved across all parties during the project. Must be able to interact at Director, Senior Director and VP levels.

Accountabilities:

SAP Cloud Specialist accountability will be smooth operation, continuous innovation and transformation of Radisson’s SAP Cloud environments.

Job requirements and qualifications:

Location:

·       Madrid

Language skills:

·       Fluent English, almost native is a must

Must have experience

·       ABAP developer expertise

·       SAP performance management, diagnosis and troubleshooting on application and DB layers

·       SAP Security Concepts, authorizations and troubleshooting

·       Experience with SAP S4/HANA

·       Excellent SAP BASIS, SAP Technical Architect, business development, infrastructure and cloud experience

·       Experience and deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver Administration

·       Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades

·       Highly technical and analytical, possessing 5+ years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in enterprise customer or partner

·       At least 5 years of experience working internationally.

Highly desirable experience

·       SAP Fiori troubleshooting and optimisation

·       Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack.

·       Experience with SAP PO

·       Experience with SAP ASE databases.

·       Experience with SAP BTP/CPI

·       Previous experience with Cloud and architecting SAP solutions on Cloud.

·       Hands-on experience with scripting and/or SW development skills using modern programming languages such as Go, Javascript, Python, Ruby etc.

·       Hospitality experience.

Travel needs

·       Up to 20%, primarily to Brussels

Soft skills:

·       Very good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

·       Ability to challenge “norms” and push for continuous improvement

·       Passion for customer service, efficiency, effectiveness and quality

·       Good team player, willingness to assist others and share expertise

·       Highly influential, leadership, communication at least at director level, efficiency, sociability

Minimum education:

·       University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

·       A recognized project management qualification is preferable.
