Team Mission:

Our mission is to drive and support the digital transformation journey of Radisson Hotel Group by ensuring the stability, evolution, and optimization of our Business Operations applications in our standard SAP platform, EMMA (Every Moment Matters).

Role purpose:

The Merchant of Records IT Lead will own and drive the IT delivery of the Merchant of Record (MoR) transformation for Radisson Hotels Group across Europe and other target regions. The role is fully dedicated to the MoR program and acts as the single IT owner coordinating architecture, integrations, vendors, and internal technology teams to ensure a secure, compliant, and scalable MoR platform.

Roles/Responsibilities

 

1.      MoR IT Ownership & Program Delivery

·        Act as the dedicated IT owner for the MoR program, accountable for end-to-end technical delivery

·        Translate business, legal, tax, and compliance requirements into clear IT scope, architecture decisions, and delivery plans.

·        Own the MoR IT roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and critical path

·        Ensure alignment between MoR delivery and broader Digital Payments platform stability and roadmap

2.      Architecture & Systems Integration

·        Own the target MoR technical architecture, including:

o   Payment orchestration layer

o   PSPs and acquiring setup

o   Tokenization

·        Coordinate and align IT integration with other RHG internal systems:

o   ERP / finance systems (settlement, reconciliation, invoicing)

o   Web, app, and digital channels

·        Ensure scalability, resilience, and security of the MoR setup across markets

3.      Vendor & Partner Management

·        Act as the primary IT interface with external vendors (payment orchestration provider, PSPs, system integrators, tax and invoicing solution providers).

·        Lead technical discussions, solution design reviews, and delivery governance with vendors.

·        Validate vendor proposals, estimates, and delivery plans from an IT and architecture standpoint.

·        Ensure vendors deliver in line with agreed functional and non-functional requirements.

4.      Functional & Technical Design

·        Lead or validate the Functional Solution Design (FSD) and Technical Design for MoR-related components

·        Ensure clear documentation of:

o   Payment flows

o   Funds flows

o   Exception handling (refunds, chargebacks, disputes)

o   Reporting and reconciliation

o   Country-specific requirements

·        Ensure designs follow RHG guidelines and requirements.

·        Ability to present the program and actively support onboarding and training sessions.

5.      Risk, Compliance & Controls

·        Work closely with Legal, Tax, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure IT implementation fully supports:

o   Commercial agent exemption requirements

o   Regulatory and scheme rules

o   VAT and invoicing obligations

o   Audit and control requirements

·        Identify IT-related risks early and define mitigation plans

·        Ensure appropriate controls, logging, and monitoring are in place

6.      Testing, Rollout & Stabilization

·        Own MoR IT testing strategy, including:

o   Integration testing

o   End-to-end payment and funds-flow testing

o   Country and PSP-specific validation

·        Coordinate phased rollout by market, ensuring readiness before go-live

·        Support early-life stabilization, issue triage, and root-cause analysis post-launch

7.      Governance & Stakeholder Management

·        Act as the primary IT counterpart for MoR in SteerCo, PMR, and senior stakeholder forums.

·        Provide clear, structured status updates on progress, risks, and decisions required.

·        Coordinate closely with Digital Payments, Finance, Legal, Tax, and external advisors.

Accountabilities: 

·        Own end-to-end IT delivery of the MoR program, including roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and alignment with the Digital Payments platform strategy.

·        Define and govern the MoR target architecture and integrations, ensuring secure, scalable connectivity across payment orchestration, PSPs, ERP/finance, and digital channels.

·        Lead technical vendor governance, validating solution designs, estimates, and delivery plans to ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.

·        Accountable for high-quality functional and technical design, including payment and funds flows, reconciliation, exception handling, reporting, and country-specific requirements.

·        Ensure full regulatory, tax, and compliance alignment within IT implementation, with appropriate controls, monitoring, and risk mitigation.

·        Own testing strategy, phased rollout, and post-go-live stabilization, ensuring readiness, quality, and issue resolution.

Act as the primary IT representative for MoR governance, providing clear status reporting and cross-functional stakeholder alignment

Highly desirable experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in IT delivery, payments, or complex platform programs
  • Strong hands-on experience with digital payments architectures (PSPs, acquirers, orchestration, tokenization)
  • Experience delivering large, multi-country programs with regulatory and compliance complexity
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment and funds flows
  • Ability to bridge business, legal, and technical domains
  • Excellent vendor management and delivery governance skills
  • Comfortable operating in a high-visibility, high-accountability role
  • Clear, structured communicator with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or e-commerce payments is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SAP systems in hospitality or service industry environments

Travel needs

·        Up to 20%, primarily European but could be international on occasion

Soft skills:
